Vilas Coffee Table

The Vilas Coffee Table is a round low table in solid cherry, standing on four turned legs. Each leg runs straight through the top and is capped flush at the surface, so the joinery reads as four small circles set just inside the edge — structure left visible rather than hidden underneath.

The top is a single warm cherry field, its grain and soft figure running edge to edge. The legs are turned to a clean cylinder, tapering slightly toward the floor, and the whole piece is kept low and quiet — no apron detailing to distract from the top and the exposed tenons.

Built by hand in our Madison shop. Every leg is fit and seated individually, and the through-tenons are trimmed flush one at a time.
