A low table built around a single live-edge walnut slab, on turned legs joined by stretchers.
The Stabe Low Table is built around a single slab of walnut, kept live-edge along both long sides so the natural shape of the board sets the outline of the top. The grain runs in tight, swirling figure across the surface, moving between dark heartwood and paler sapwood, and a few natural cracks and voids are left as they are.
The slab sits low on turned, gently tapered legs, joined near the floor by slender stretchers. The legs and base are worked in a warmer red-brown tone that plays against the darker top.
Like everything from our Madison shop, it’s made by hand — the slab flattened and finished, the legs turned and joined by us, start to finish.
