Bottum Desk

The Bottum Desk pairs a live-edge walnut top with a long, low storage base. The slab floats on a dark pedestal above the case, its natural edge left intact and its surface pieced and figured across the width.

The base carries a bank of ambrosia maple drawers, a run of open shelving, and a pair of walnut cabinet doors, all set on a recessed black plinth. Each drawer is lined and fitted with a tray, and the drawers and doors are worked individually — mitered frames, keyed corners, and slim brass pulls and hinges shaped by hand.

Like everything we make, it was milled, joined, and finished by the two of us in our Madison shop.
